Cranes and lifting equipment a serious injury risk

In this year alone, there have been several incidents at QLD Workplaces that have involved the use of crane and lifting equipment - leading to serious injury.

This could be because of:

❌a failure due to incorrect slinging and rigging techniques

❌loose objects falling from loads being lifted

❌loads colliding with adjacent structures or plant causing items to dislodge and fall

❌cranes not being used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions

❌incorrect crane selection and siting.
