Current industry norm demands that ‘service’ providers/contractors who want to work with large commercial / industrial / mining / construction clients and compete for new work, must first pass a pre-qualification audit.
These are usually contained in Tender Submission / Expression of Interest documents and require contractors to formally demonstrate their safety and health management systems.
Outsource Safety acts as the contractor representative, interprets WHS requirements specified in the Tender or 3rd Party Accreditation including, but not limited to:

Outsource Safety has assisted numerous customers to meet their WHS Management minimum standards and successfully achieve pre-qualification and/or tender acceptance.

Tender Evaluation

Contractors are increasingly used in business operations and construction projects due to the specialised nature of their work.

Clients invite bids from contracting companies via a tender process and usually issue a WHS checklist or criteria which specifies WHS requirements.

In order for clients to have a significant level of assurance that contractors meet minimum WHS standards, submissions are evaluated against the client tender WHS criteria and in many cases each bid is ranked against all other submissions.

There are several benchmarks used for contractor bid evaluations including:
-
Client WHS contract specifications,
-
Client Safety Management Plans,
-
State and Federal WHS Acts & Regulations and
-
Australian Standard AS/NZS 4801 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems).
-
ISO Standards.

Outsource Safety have extensive experience in WHS evaluations of tender submissions and ranking each submission based on client contract weighting criteria.

Tender evaluations have been performed for construction, mining operations, heavy haul road transport, mining exploration and local government contracts.
